I just heard that beginning May 5th of this year, we traveling cyclists should expect to see a $200 charge each way for a bike bag.
Okay...now pardon the language, but that sucks.

i thought some teams got discounts and a break on oversize fees from some airlines since you have to fly so much. $200 will suck big time. UPS is a good alternative... but just hope they get everything there on time!
jet blue and southwest have not announced hikes - they will supposedly still only charge $50.
still.. bleh! especially since most airlines don't charge extra for golf bags!?!??!
